LOOSE CUT & WRAPPED FLOWER CARE
- Upon receipt of delivery, unwrap flowers and remove
water tubes or qasis block (green water soaked sponge) And
cut stems straight across or slantwise using sharp flowers
cutters or a knife. Do not use scissors as they will crush
the stems. Cut stems under water that is fresh, clean and
luke warm removing approximately 1 inch of stem off the
bottom. Tropical flowers benefit greatly from being soaked
head down in a large volume of water for one hour prior to
being cut as instructed above.
- Transfer cut flowers immediately to a prefilled vase
or container. Make sure that all foliage is removed prior
to cutting the stems that would sit below the water line.
- If you are using special cut flower preservative to
prolong the life of your flowers and arrest bacteria
growth in the water, follow package instructions. Add
water to the container as needed and replenish solution
every 1-2 days. If you are not using preservatives, change
the water, scrub the container and re-cut flower stems
daily.
As soon as the water starts to look cloudy it is time to
change the water, preservative or not.
- Place arranged flowers in a cool location ( between
40-60 degrees) and out of bright sunlight. Keep away from
heat sources, drafts and air conditioners. If access to
refrigeration at night (above 40 degrees) is available, it
is possible to prolong the life of your flowers 50-100% as
long as the water is kept fresh and the container kept
clean. If using a residential refrigerator place flowers
in center shelf- front as the back, top and bottom tend to
have very cold spots and flowers do freeze.

FRESH ARRANGEMENT CARE
- Upon receipt of delivery, unwrap flowers and check the
water level adding water if necessary.
- If you have received a vase arrangement and there is a
taped grid over the top of the vase that does not allow
you to remove the stems to change the water and clean the
vase out , simply use a sharp knife to cut the floral tape
from the inside edge of the vase. This will allow you to
remove the entire arrangement at one time, Place the
arrangement carefully in a different container of water
while you are preparing the vase once again. It is very
beneficial to the flowers to have their stems rinsed off,
rinsing off the bacteria, and then re-cutting the stems
with a sharp knife removing approximately 1 inch of stem
off the bottom.
- As with any fresh cut product it is best to keep the
arrangement away from bright sunlight and heat. See #4

FLOWERING PLANT CARE
Flowering plants need good light, moderate temperatures,
reasonable humidity, uniform moisture in the soil and a once
/ month fertilization.
LIGHT: Flowering plants need all the sunshine that can be
provided in your home, particularly in winter. Place them
near the window.
TEMPERATURE: Most flowering plants grow best at night
temperatures of 50 to 60 degrees F, and day temps of 65 to
70 degrees F. Do not place them over or next to radiators
and keep them out of drafts.
HUMIDITY: Keep room humidity as high as possible. A covering
of peat moss over the soil will help keep the humidity high
within the soil.
WATERING: Inspect soil daily and add water when the soil
feels dry to the touch. Push finger tip into the soil to a
depth of at least 1 inch. The top of the soil can feel dry
when th inside can still be quite moist. When watering, wet
the soil all the way around the top of the plant and put
enough water in to let it reach all the way to the roots at
the bottom of the pot.
FERTILIZATION: If you keep flowering plants longer than six
to eight weeks, some plant food should be added. Follow
directions on fertilizer package.

FOILAGE PLANT CARE
Foilage plants grow best if you give them proper light,
suitable temperatures, adequate moisture and a general
houseplant fertilizer once a month.
LIGHT: Place foliage plants in or near a window where they
receive good light during part of the day. Most plants do
not like the intensely bright sunshine of mid summer. They
thrive near a south or east window during the fall, winter
and spring months. If you cannot place them near a window,
use artificial lights over them.
WATERING: Keep soil moist. Examine it once a week. When the
soil feels dry to the touch, add enough water to wet the
soil all the way to the bottom of the pot. Be sure that any
excess water is drained off. The exception would be
succulents . They need to dry out between watering.
TEMPERATURE: Most foliage plants thrive best at night temps
of 60 to 65 degrees F, and day temps of 70-80 degrees F.
FERTILIZATION: Since the amount of soil and nutrients
available in a small pot is limited, small quantities of
plant foods are desirable at three to four week intervals,
used according to the directions on the package.
